Back in 2013 Barneys New York announced that it was looking to open a second store in downtown Manhattan. Now, it looks the retailer will actually return to its original location in Chelsea and open its doors next month.

The relaunched 58,000-square-foot store will offer exclusive capsule collections with brands like Alexander Wang for women while rising design collective Vêtements and Y-3 Sport will make their own men's capsules. It will also house an apothecary, a Blind Barber outpost, and a full-service salon-cum-men’s club for all your grooming needs.

Barneys' original location opened in 1923 after founder Fred Pressman pawned his wife's engagement ring for the cash to fund his new business selling men's brand-name suits for less. The retailer eventually expanded uptown where it set up a new flagship on Madison Avenue in 1993. The original Barneys location closed four years later and was eventually replaced by another department store.

The Chelsea store will be located once again on the corner of Seventh Avenue and 17th Street.
