I really like these White Mountaineering pants. They have all my favorite garment details—triple needle stitching, at least four front pockets and a crotch gusset. Crotch gussets are so great. I love moderately technical-looking pants like these because you can wear them with traditional coats and end up looking pretty decent or you can wear them with super technical jackets and an expensive fanny pack and look downright amazing. I’m gonna wear these with some ACG boots and those gloves that have knuckle guards and are made from cut and bite-proof materials. Yes, I will look like the paramilitary villain in a Neill Blomkamp movie, but you know what? That’s kind of a dope look as long as you’re not using technology to suppress free thought and civil liberties.
