Google just released its annual roundup of the year's top trending search terms, and it looks like Raf Simons claimed the number one spot for the designer category. It's not surprising that Simons was a hot topic, considering the eventful year he has had.
After starring in the documentary Dior and I, the Belgian designer made the surprising announcement that he was departing from Dior in October, after 3-and-a-half years as the company's creative director. It also didn't hurt that rappers like Travi$ Scott and A$AP Rocky hyped up Simons' designs throughout the year.
Other designers like Ralph Lauren and Alexander Wang, who also announced career changes in 2015, still didn't make the cut. Instead the top 10 was rounded out by other familiar names like Tommy Hilfiger and Karl Lagerfeld.
