Patta And Stussy Have A Collection Dropping This Weekend

Two streetwear brands over 5,000 miles apart come together

Stüssy has had a crazy year with all the collaborations around its 35th anniversary and its own seasonal collections. But it clearly wants to squeeze everything out of 2015 that it can because it now has a collaboration with Amsterdam streetwear spot Patta on deck. The team over at Stüssy must be run ragged. They deserve a vacation by now. Anyway, High Snobiety got a first look at the collection and here it is. The map graphics show off just how far apart these two brands are from one another—more than 5,500 miles—and is a microcosm in how the partnership came about. Patta started as a Stüssy stockist, then they threw some events together and did a couple of collaborative t-shirts. That relationship has progressed up to this full collection of tees, beanies, jeans, pants, sweatshirts and jackets that all have a retro '90s feel to them. Patches are common and colors are bright and vibrant, blocked together in unexpected ways. That fuzzy sweatshirt might be a must-cop solely to be paired with a gently exposed gold chain as they've done here. This gear drops first at Patta Amsterdam and Stüssy New York on Saturday, December 12 before a wider release at Stüssy chapter stores, online and Patta stockists on Friday, December 18.
