The White House's Christmas decor is getting a serious style upgrade this year thanks to the First Lady's favorite designers. Michelle Obama called on Opening Ceremony's Humberto Leon and Carol Lim to transform the home's library into a holiday forest using their creative expertise.

The duo added hand-painted globes, colorful feather arrangements, and trees covered in handmade snowmen to the room, which holds 2,700 books.

"The opportunity to decorate the White House library this holiday season has been monumental," Leon and Lim, who are now the co-creative directors of KENZO, told Elle. "We put our heart and soul into making each ornament."

Designers Carolina Herrera and Duro Olowu also decorated two of the other public spaces. Check out Leon and Lim's work below.
