At first I was bummed that this fucked up winter weather was going to ruin wool overcoats. But I realized that this weather means you can wear them with just a t-shirt and be pretty comfortable through the day and night. That’s a good thing because spending 970 dollars on an overcoat during a winter that’s averaging 60 degree days means you’ll only have enough money left for a few packs of Hanes white tees. A nice Chesterfield with a t-shirt is a strong cool dad look right there. This is the dad who totally dotes on his kid, but also has really high and realistic standards for him. He realizes that he isn't going to be professional athletes, but he still shells out for two weeks of basketball camp. His kid can’t draw, but they still visit the art museum and sketch the sculptures. This dad totally could still skate, but doesn’t because he realizes he’s a dad and has to use those motor skills to teach his kid how. He also knows how to move quietly at night when everyone’s asleep to go hit a dad joint in the garage because it’s hard to be chill dad with a mortgage, a kid and the guilt of having high expectations for his offspring. When his kid asks him what he does when he goes into the garage he’ll be like, “Banana clips for you Curious Georges,” and distract him with clips of Guy Mariano in the future YouTube hologram.
