I’ve been wracking my brain trying to figure out how to get 575 dollars together and send it to Unionmade so they will send me this Blue Blue Japan hand dyed Sashiko stand collar jacket. I know $575 is a lot of money to spend on a jacket, particularly a jacket in a style and cut that is heavily represented in my closet, but the Sashiko detail is just so nice. You know in 10 years this jacket will be so broken-in, faded and fucking amazing. Too bad in ten years this jacket will have been sold from me to someone else on the internet who wanted it really badly but was only willing to pay, like, $250 and haggled me down from $395. That person will in turn sell it for about $98 on eBay to a kid who just got off the Sashiko Wikipedia page, who will then sell it to a resale/consignment shop in their town for $7 in cash or $575 in store credit.
