I think it's safe to say that if you read Four Pins, you love shopping in some capacity. That might be hunting for deals online or maybe you'd rather thumb through racks and see what catches your eye. Both are correct answers. But one aspect that plays a part in our shopping processes for everyone is mood. And Uniqlo wants to harness that with brain scans in an effort to sell you the right T-shirt. We've officially reached the final frontier for shopping, fam.

It's called UMood and it's like a photobooth. Shoppers put on a headset and look at a series of photos, which UMood uses to analyzes your brain activity. Then, an algorithm breaks down your responses and chooses a swath of tees finally narrowed it down to a single one. The brain harness gathers information on your interest, like, stress, concentration and drowsiness and matches a T-shirt to that data, though it all gets a bit weird because the shirts were initially graded by a panel of humans, which means there is some subjectivity here. And, like, who can even being to speculate on those randos' taste level.

Just imagine the next step of this. I'm envisioning a big store like Barneys or something equipped with a next-level brain scanner that starts tracking your thoughts the second walk in the store, eventually directing you to the section, brand or designer they think would match up best for you, exposing you to new shit you didn't know about and showing you pieces you're most likely to buy. It's about to get real Minority Report up in this bitch.
