Rick Owens fashion shows are....something. They're occasionally prone to controversy—he's sent exposed dicks down the runway, used step dancers, had a predominantly white cast wear durags and even punched a model, granted that was after he was the one that caused the controversy, not Rick. For his most recent show, which wrapped just a bit ago, he did something yet again. Was it a controversy? I'm not really sure. But hey, if you want to project some of your angst, go for it.
For his S/S 16 womenswear collection, Rick sent some models down the runway, carrying other models as a small choir sang on a perch above them. Some were on their backs like knapsacks, others on the front and upside-down like a reverse Baby Bjorn. I grabbed some admittedly blurry screenshots from the livestream, which you can see above. For some clearer pics, below are some shots by people who were actually there. If nothing else, it's pretty hilarious and according to Cathy Horyn, the models were local gymnasts, which explains why they didn't collapse under the weight of carrying another person. Rick also apparently bounced immediately after the show, preferring not to answer any questions about the spectacle like the boss he is. Please direct all 69 jokes to Twitter Dot Com.

Owens: "I didn't want to talk about the clothes this time. It seemed trite. " he used local gymnasts. "Figures draping on figures."

Or perhaps, it's all just a cover for Rick Owens's future career as the Undertaker.
