Up Close With Yeezy Season 2 [UPDATED]

None

While most of us were relegated to viewing the Yeezy Season 2 presentation through the lens of Twitter photos, live streams of people either in the venue or in a theater watching, we don't have to look at those grainy/blurry/meh shots anymore. Here are some (unfortunately not all) shots of various Yeezy Season 2 looks. There were obviously a ton of looks in the show itself, so here's a solid taste of what the gear looks like up close. It's pretty much more of the same in slightly different colors and not as distressed as the first collection. It also sticks with the theme of moving from light to dark with the clothes and their respective models getting darker as it progressed. While it's easy to pile on these past two collections for being too military-inspired, homeless looking and other common face value criticisms, that isn't to say there's not fire in here. A few looks are pretty dope like the super oversized coat-sweatshirt look in slide 4 and the tan look in slides 5 and 6. The gigantic field jacket in slide 21 ain't bad either. And we'd be remiss not to mention maybe the best of the bunch: the final short sleeve kimono shirt straight out of the Haider Ackermann playbook. When the full lineup comes through, we'll be sure to bring it to you.

UPDATE: Some more photos of the collection up close came through last night, shot by photographer Jackie Nickerson, who did the Yeezy Season 1 lookbook from awhile back. You can see a few more of the designs up close, like the olive kimono-style shirt in slides 34-36, which is beneficial when such a baggy, oversized style typically just looks like a pile of leftover rags from far away. Take a look over the new shots here.
