Car coats are such a funny genre of coat. Designed (and I'm assuming here since I’m not fucking Wikipedia) at the advent of the automobile, these coats were intended to keep you warm in a car that may or may not have had a roof and most definitely didn't have a heater. Nowadays, if you're a functioning human, your car most likely has a roof and heat so you don't even have to wear a coat on while driving, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't, ya know? You could decide to go into freelance writing and then you will have to drive the same car for, like, a decade and you never know when key components will fail. The only thing you will know for certain is that you will never have enough money to fix them. Take for example, my personal vehicle, which is kind of a rustbucket, but totally has charm. Most who have ridden in it remark that it looks like it's going to literally disintegrate if they so much as close the door with too much force. And yet, I still always have a bottle of Pellegrino in the cup holder. This anecdote totally explains why I'm going to buy this $981 car coat from Ten C instead of investing in a new automobile.
