Everyone wants something to remember their loved ones, but would you keep their skin in a frame after they die? Save My Ink is a new service that actually removes flesh from dead bodies in order to preserve their tattoos.

Founder Charles Hamm started the company after he realized how much time and money he has spent on his ink. He developed a chemical process that permanently keeps the tissue from decaying, so you can keep it like a piece of artwork. Hamm mastered the method on his own excess skin that he tattooed after having plastic surgery to remove it.

'You would never burn a Picasso or any piece of art you invested in and had a passion for. Your tattoo is also art with a unique story, just on a different canvas," he told the Daily Mail.

The service launched in America last week, and has successfully removed and preserved 21 tattoos.
