ED by Ellen Is So Lit, Even Kanye West Co-Signed

If you threw J.Crew, John Elliott + Co., and Ralph Lauren into a blender...

ED by Ellen, the new clothing line from the human race's fairy godmother Ellen DeGeneres, has recently opened its webshop, and we have to say...this gear is pretty lit.

Ellen superfans were likely anticipating the release for the past few months, but in the sake of transparency, we should admit we were alerted to ED by Ellen's webshop opening by a tweet from Kanye West this afternoon. It takes a style god to recognize a style god, but if we're honest, Kanye's been showing Ellen love for a minute now.

My good friend Ellen @TheEllenShow just launched her clothing line, http://t.co/6jVO1gDzIH

But by now you're probably wondering what ED by Ellen is even like. To put it simply, if J.Crew, Everlane, and Ralph Lauren were thrown in a blender, ED by Ellen would be the result.

The apparel—sadly only womenswear—is a mixture of cozy basics and practical, unoffensive clothing. It's effectively the embodiment of her hit talk show in fabric form. Baggy, unbranded crewneck tees in soft colors, pair excellently with light sweatpant-style trousers. Throw the cotton bomber jacket on top, and it's not that far off from something seen on a John Elliott + Co. runway.

Before you think it's just about the clothing, check again. Like a true lifestyle gawd, Ellen even rolled out a selection of Homegoods and accessories—including branded "dad" caps. (Tell us you don't want to mix up some dirty sprite in this recycled glass pitcher, or serve the base on these beautiful antique clay platters my guy).

While some may feel this is somewhat out of left field for talk show host/comedienne, it's no secret that Ellen's been about that fashion life. Watching her show is seeing brands like Comme des Garçons PLAY and Band Of Outsiders (R.I.P.) flash on your television.

Listen, just because the line isn't for guys, doesn't mean you can't share this fire with someone in  your life. Besides, isn't sharing the love what Ellen is all about?
