SHOWstudio has always been about pushing boundaries. Founder Nick Knight redefined fashion film with the platform, and this season has teamed up with London fashion boutique Machine-A, and China's JOYCE Group to highlight the work of some of the most inspirational Chinese and British fashion graduates.

Each boutique has handpicked four talents from their part of the world and enlisted them to design a capsule collection available from JOYCE and Machine-A from today. The designers selected by Machine-A are; Grace Wales Bonner, Adam Marc James, Chris O'Carroll, and Kiko Kostadinov, while JOYCE selected; Ximon Lee, Kay Kwok, Xiao Li, and Kenneth Cheung. Founder and buying director of Machine-A Stavros Karelis had this to say on the designers;

“These graduates are the future of fashion and I am extremely happy that for the first time, two influential stores in two different fashion capitals of the world will present a joint collaboration hence creating a platform to showcase and promote the best of British and Chinese emerging talent through eight limited capsule collections.”

To celebrate the project, Nick Knight and film director Rei Nadal co-directed an exclusive fashion film inspired by the clothes. Nadal captures the raw life of the collection and the young people the clothes are created for out in the real world, which is juxtaposed against Knight's idealised vision of the collections in the fashion studio. Knight says;

“It is so important and relevant to show people actually living in these beautiful clothes. Whether its the fashion designers or the teenagers in the film, the things that unite us are greater than the things that divide us. We wanted to make a film that truly celebrated the designer and also the wearer.”

Basically, the clothes are incredible, and the film is incredible. Take a look at some of the clothes below, and head over to the SHOWstudio site to watch the film.
