The CFDA Awards were last night and aside from putting on some solid red carpet looks, there were also awards to be won.

On the menswear side of things, Tom Ford beat out Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne from Public School, David Neville and Marcus Wainwright from Rag & Bone, Tim Coppens and Thom Browne to take home the big crown as Menswear Designer of The Year. A somewhat surprising pick? Maybe. With Public School's success and Tim Coppens winning the Swarovski Award last year, you would think one of those two may have nicked it, but Tom Ford proved again that he really is the king of this fashion shit.

For the Swarovski Award for Menswear, which honors emerging talent, Shayne Oliver and Hood By Air beat out Orley and Ovadia & Sons. That's a big step for HBA, which has seen tons of attention, most recently as the guest presenter at Pitti Uomo. Though we're not a womenswear site, we'd be remiss if we didn't mention how Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen beat out huge names like Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors and Joseph Altuzarra to take home the Womenswear Designer of The Year award for The Row, which is among the most fire brands out there today. Stay woke. Hard to really complain about any of the choices, unless you're the type of person who gets upset over who wins fashion awards, in which case I'd suggest finding another hobby asap.
