New York-based street artist Hanksy is known for his use of puns that relate to celebrate names (Banksy + Tom Hanks = Hanksy). Some of his work has been seen as controversial, while other pieces have just been hilarious. A new piece that Hanksy created for Jensen Karp and Gallery 1988 falls somewhere in middle if you're a Rihanna fan, because it turns her name into something very unflattering.
Following in the vein of puns like Dicki Minaj, Eazy-Ebola, and Lil' Waynedeer, Hanksy somehow made the connection between RiRi and irritable bowels, creating the "Diarrihanna" piece under the toilet lid at the gallery, with a drawing of Rihanna throwing up the deuce.
Her navy will not appreciate this at all.
