This hat is bananas and most of us will look like complete tool sheds if we wear it. But I have to write about it because Four Pins isn’t just about the median alphet wearer. We have outliers too, from the completely swagless to the dude who can pull off this ridiculous rain hat from Mountain Research. It’s up to you to do some soul searching and determine where you fall along the Four Pins scale. If you think you’re a few notches past “stylish guy of the office,” then go for this hat. Just remember though, an outfit fail can set you back a few rungs on the scale. You don’t want to fall in the power rankings from “stylish guy of the office” to “the guy who wore a Thom Browne suit to a client meeting once and got so cocky he thought he could pull of an entirely swagless hat.”
