I really like this Kris Van Assche tee and I don't really have any reasons other than it seems to be a base response to the shirt itself. Sometimes you can't explain things. Some reasons behind our actions have to remain ineffable, don't they? Particularly, why you would spend another $236 on a shirt when you already own, like, plenty of other shirts? I guess when you think about it, buying expensive goods is probably just a simple expression of our innate materialism and social competitiveness. But the truth doesn't sound as cool as, "The pattern is fucking lit, fam."
