Ah, good ol' Gant Rugger—solid, dependable clothes at pretty reasonable prices. I remember when I first got into menswear and Gant Rugger was popping off like crazy. I bought a pair of chinos and a shirt, I think. Then, I wore them home over the holidays and my mom saw them. She asked me where they were from because she liked them and I told her. She was shocked. Not at the fact that they were pretty nice pieces of clothing, but the fact that she knew the brand and it had stuck around for so long. See, Gant was really big in the '80s for that sort of preppy, ivy style and I had no fucking idea. It's easy to block that shit out of your mind. I just assumed it was new or something. Anyway, that personal anecdote has absolutely nothing to do with this collection. All you need to know is that Gant Rugger F/W 15 is goddamn good and might also impress your mother if you're lucky.
