Young New Yorkers is a "restorative justice" arts program for teens (ages 16 and 17) who have open court cases in New York State. The program is offered in the place of jail time and community service, and it gives the teens the opportunity to participate in a series of workshops, meet and work with local artists, build toward a public art installation, and to potentially have their criminal charges dismissed and their records sealed.

To raise money for the amazing program, artists have contributed works to the Young New Yorkers Silent Art Auction, which opened  on Paddle8 on March 22 and will run through April 1. The auction features work by Shepard Fairey, Swoon, Miss Van, Dan Witz, David Hockney, and several others. The auction will culminate with an event at Joseph Gross Gallery on April 1, tickets for which are available now via the YNY website.
