This is why fashion designers are so rad. Let's be real, they can do whatever the fuck they want and it's cool because they're creative and inspiring. Remember when Rick Owens put a bunch of super insane, but very expensive furniture on display last year? It was weird, but it was so Rick Owens of him to do that because he is Rick Owens after all. What if other big name designers were in the furniture game? How would they approach it? If you were thinking, "Raf Simons would definitely just make fabric swatches and not actually design any new furniture," that's very specific, but also incredibly correct. Partnered with Kvadrat, Raf Simons is set to release his second collection with the Danish textile brand, bringing exclusive colors and fabrics to your buttocks. A wide spectrum of options (especially new cushion designs) will carry the "Kvadrat/Raf Simons" name—including "Noise," "Masai" and "Sirocco"—on furniture designed by a couple of apparently well-known furniture makers, Cassina and Fritz Hansen. There will also be matching throws made from alpaca, wool and cashmere. This is, like, the greatest shit ever to me. Of course Raf, the reserved legend, does the most serene aspect of the furniture-designing process in just picking the colors and fabrics. Maybe it's because he's such a genius with color and texture? In case it wasn't apparent already, I just moved and had to buy a ton of furniture, so if I knew about this beforehand, it would have been really helpful in furnishing my new spot.

"Why is the only thing in your apartment this random cushion?"

"It's Raf Simons."

"Who's Raf Simons?"

"Get the fuck out, mom."
