If you follow Karl Lagerfeld on social media then you are definitely familiar with Choupette Lagerfeld, the designer's feline companion who has a following of her own, both on Instagram and Twitter. Lagerfeld loves his Siamese cat so much that he once said that he would marry her if he could. In a recent interview with The Cut, Lagerfeld revealed that Choupette doesn't need his money for her fancy cuisine and expensive toys because she makes a ton of cash on her own and is now the richest cat in the world.

"She did two jobs and made 3 million euros last year," said Lagerfeld, who is still one of the wealthiest designers in the world. "One was for cars in Germany and the other was for a Japanese beauty product." He said that he doesn't let Choupette advertise food and other cat things because she is "too sophisticated for that. She had something unique. She is like a human being, but the good thing is that she’s silent. You don’t have to discuss it."

Lagerfeld (who calls himself a "fashion vampire" in the interview) also confessed that Choupette is not a very friendly cat, sharing that she "hates other animals and she hates children." He compared her to the late Hollywood star Greta Garbo and said that Choupette has two maids and is "the center of the world." There are quite a few famous celebrity pets, but Choupette is obviously in a class of her own.
