A museum in Germany is set to launch a Karl Lagerfeld retrospective that looks back at his decades worth of work designing for fashion houses like Chanel, Fendi, and Chloé. The retrospective, titled "Modemethode," will be held at the Bundeskunsthalle museum in Bonn, Germany, Lagerfeld's home country.

Vogue international editor Suzy Menkes shared some details of the showcase on her Instagram today. The retrospective was curated by Amanda Harlech, a creative consultant with a long history of working with Lagerfeld. Harlech features some of Lagerfeld's most important designs, like a yellow dress that won the designer a Woolmark prize at the beginning of his career in 1954, sketches of his designs from over 50 years at Fendi, plus some that even show the development of press materials and ad campaigns.

According to Menkes, "The Karl Lagerfeld exhibition in Bonn Germany starts with this drawing and a re-incarnation of his desk with its piles of books, pencils, crayons and the paper - fresh or crumpled and discarded - which is the theme of the show."

You have ample time to book your tickets to Germany, the exhibit runs from March 28 to Sept. 13, 2015.

UPDATE 3/26: Style.com has highlights from the exhibit you can view below. The retrospective is comprised of 126 pieces of clothing designed during Lagerfeld's career. There's also a recreation of the crowded desk he would illustrate his designs at.
