Saint Laurent's Revenue Has Doubled since the Appointment of Hedi Slimane

Hedi Slimane: Magic?

None

Hedi Slimane worked wonders when he worked at Dior Homme, and their business steadily rose throughout his tenure. Now it seems that the Slimane touch might just be the Midas touch, as the French luxury conglomerate Kering (owner of labels like Gucci and Saint Laurent Paris) announced revenue numbers for 2014 on Tuesday and revealed that the revenue for Saint Laurent has doubled in the three years with Slimane at the helm.

The turn around for Saint Laurent has been so spectacular, Kering are hoping another of their brand will emulate it as they too introduce a new Creative Director. Alessandro Michele is the new CD at Gucci, and has the struggle task of stopping, and then ultimately correcting, the slide in revenue from Kering's biggest earner. Another label showing solid growth is Bottega Veneta, which clocked a nearly 13 percent increase in revenue.

Good job, Hedi.
