Market Week Recap: Mark McNairy Fall/Winter 2015

None

When #menswear dudes wanted to experiment, Mark McNairy was there for them. And he still is. His well-known brash personality mixed with some even brasher designs has cemented his stance as the wild card of our world for the past few years. His colored soles, mismatched panels, bright hues, wild prints and signature sense of humor are never for the faint of heart—if you like McNairy, you LOVE McNairy. His designs are divisive and F/W 15 is no different. While last season saw him drop in a fair share of psychedelic, 1960s references, this time his work veers more towards old school, un-ironic, cool dadness. Vintage-feeling patterns, fabric that looks like it may have been lost in the crawlspace of your childhood home and a whole lot of down filling makes for a wide variety of gear to digest. Think, a killer heavy nylon Perfecto made with Schott, varsities with no elastic waist, wool joggers with knee pads and standard McNairy-isms printed onto pieces like his new "SHAGGY DAWG" sweaters. Again, if you like it, you love it and if you don't, well, Mark couldn't give less of a fuck.
