Last week, Kanye West attended the first ever Fashion Los Angeles Awards and presented the Innovator of the Year award to Milk Studios founder Mazdack Rassi. Footage of Kanye's speech has finally surfaced online, and as expected, the rapper dropped plenty of gems.

Kanye talked about his interactions with Vogue's Anna Wintour, his relationship with Rassi (who he says is "one of the greatest guys he knows"), and the fact that everyone is a "fashion insider." He also discussed the importance of design, saying "the world can be changed, the world can be saved through design... through unselfish design, through unselfish creation."

Of Rassi, he thanked the "visionary" for giving him a chance when he didn't have an office space where he could work on his adidas collection. He also recounts telling Rassi that he "promised him he was going to be fucking good." Classic Kanye.

Kanye also expressed his thoughts on the term "fashion insider," explaining that he thinks it applies to everyone. "Everyone's a fashion insider," he said. "It's illegal to be naked." A similar sentiment to what he said in his now-famous interview with BBC's Zane Lowe

Near the end of his speech, he gave a special shout out to designer Jeremy Scott, who he said asked him to attend the awards. "Jeremy's one of those bad motherfuckers that changed the game and always expressed himself," he said.
