A few months ago, a photo series took off on Reddit of statues taking selfies, so it was only a matter of time before someone thought to apply the same idea to paintings. Redditor MagicWatermelon shared some of his friend Olivia Muus's photos in the r/pics subreddit this morning, and in less than four hours it was on the front page with over 4,700 upvotes and 290 comments.

According to Muss' Instagram captions, the photos were taken at the Rijksmuseum in the Netherlands and the Statens Museum for Kunst in Copenhagen, but we have a feeling that the trend will be applied to portraits in museums and galleries all over the world.
