A minor league hockey team in Ohio is taking one of its themed night way beyond passing out novelty bobbleheads. The Toledo Walleye are hosting "Heroes Night," which will feature the home team in Batman jerseys, while the opponent, the Evansville IceMen, will rock jerseys in the style of The Riddler, one of Batman's adversaries.
The night will also have non-fictional heroic aspects as the jerseys will be auctioned off following the game with all proceeds going to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, March of Dimes, and the Walleye Wishing Well, per the team's press release. Local firefighters and policeman will also be honored during the game.
The game that this city deserves, not the one it needs, will take place on Nov. 22.
