After collaborating with Swizz Beatz and Richard Chai for his debut film, Future Relics 01, Daniel Arsham is back with the second installment in the series, Future Relic 02, starring James Franco as a worker who (according to the New York Times' T Magazine) "spends his days underground indexing and destroying objects from the civilization that was."

The film was shot over four days in Arsham's Brooklyn studio and features the artist's sculptures and a pretty dope astronaut suit made by Public School

The nine-part Future Relics series will be screened at the 2016 Tribeca Film Festival, but fans of Arsham's work don't have to wait that long to see more from the artist.

This December in conjunction with Art Basel Miami Beach, Locust Projects will present "Welcome to the Future," Daniel Arsham's first major exhibition in Miami since 2010. According to the press release, the installation will feature an "excavation trench in the gallery’s floor holding thousands of calcified artifacts...Rather than regard these objects as individual sculptures, the artist presents them as a mass below our feet, producing a new narrative of production, history, and discovery."  The exhibition will open on Nov. 15 and run through Jan. 2015.
