Peter de Cupere is an olfactory artist, which means (according to his website) that he is "a visual artist working with fragrance." His latest work, titled Deflowering, is an ice sculpture unlike any that you've ever seen...or smelled.

The sculpture is made of frozen holy water, and trapped inside is a surprise for anyone who hasn't read the title of this post. "In the statue is a spot with real vaginal scent!" reads the caption for the video that de Cupere posted on Vimeo. "When the madonna melts the vaginal scent start to mix with the holy water. In the room you start smelling the beauty of woman. When touching the melted liquid the original vaginal scent stays long on your finger."

According to de Cupere, the smell was manufactured by professionals in a lab in Germany. Obviously we can't verify any of the claims made, but if you want to experience this work for yourself, check out the event details in the video above and let us know how that goes.
