Haven teamed up with fellow Canadian brand Viberg, an 80-plus-year-old company specializing in rugged footwear, for a line of Derby shoes. The design for the Viberg Derby shoe was only recently unearthed, and after a year of retooling the model, the shoe is being specially made for Haven.
This type of lengthy process is common at Viberg, a brand known for its meticulous production. The proof is in the details, like the premium heavy duty Roughout leather used for the shoe, which sits atop a slip and oil resistant wedge sole. The boot also features a custom stamped insole, leather and waxed cotton laces, and metal lace eyelets. All these details are forged by a team at Viberg who carefully handcraft all the heavy-duty footwear.
