Did you guys ever watch America's Best Dance Crew on MTV back in the mid-00s? The first season of that shit was the most fire programming on television at the time. You had the big homie J.C. Chasez doing his best Simon Cowell impression and being super critical of all these super dope dancers, while Lil Mama popped her lip gloss and played good cop. But the main thing was that a ton of the dudes on the show wore red varsity jackets because they wanted to look like they just stepped out of Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo as they did helicopters on the dance floor. It was all so very '80s and B-boy and also made me want to try (and fail miserably) at basic breaking. More importantly, it made me like ill varsity jackets like this one from Beams Plus. Can't you just imagine throwing down a cardboard box and doing a stunt in front of a small crowd in this before busting out a straight cash b-boy stance? OMFG, the feeling must be so liberating. The B-boy stance really was the Glo stance of the '80s.
