My very first professor at college always wore men's overcoats exactly like this chesterfield from ts(s). She was French and teaching us about Foucault and Walter Benjamin and I remember not understanding a single sentence of The Work of Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction, but then, after our discussion on the topic, I was totally enlightened. Or maybe I just realized I was catching feelings from, like, a 60-year-old French lady who wore really nice jackets and understood weird German modernist critical theory in a way that I would never fully grasp.
