Ovadia & Sons’ arsenal of classic menswear got a hefty dose of rock ‘n’ roll for the Fall 2014 season. Officially dropping this week, the collection blends traditional and modern elements in one comprehensive presentation, resulting in a unique aesthetic of tailored garments with a youthful edge.

Luxury staples like wool, mohair, and cashmere provide a striking contrast to the implementation of animal print, metallic accents, and high-quality leather.

“We were inspired by the rock and roll music we grew up listening to and built a world around that in a refined, elegant modern way,” says Brooklyn-raised designers Shimon and Ariel Ovadia.

The collection features a mix of tailored menswear pieces and sports-inspired threads, ranging from suits and double-breasted outerwear to hoodies and slim-cuffed sweatpants. But the standout item is definitely the black leather moto jacket with leopard pony hair sleeves, inspired by photos of grunge poster boy Kurt Cobain.

And we can’t forget to mention the selection of lug-soled boots that are as tough as they are sleek.
