What began as an Andre the Giant Has a Posse sticker at the Rhode Island School of Design has matured into one of the most vibrant street art movements thus far, OBEY GIANT. Conceptualized by none other than Shepard Fairey, the OBEY brand has managed to maneuver its way into the most esteemed museums across the country and has been plastered on walls all over the world.

Most recently, Fairey has partnered with L.I.S.A. Project NYC to create a 30 x 40-foot mural that can be viewed at 161 Bowery in Lower Manhattan. With the aim of bringing “a diverse group of street artists together in Lower Manhattan to create Manhattan's only mural district," this partnership with Fairey is sure to bring a surge of traffic their way.
