When humans imagine the future 10, 20, or even 50 years from now, many can’t help but envision exactly what they saw in The Jetsons—hover cars and robot servants. We doubt anyone stopped to think about the possibility of multi-purpose architecture. Mexican design firm Studio Cachoua Torres Camilletti is re-imagining our futuristic fantasies with their concept twin curvilinear skyscrapers that function as a high-rise mini city.

The concept towers will be built in Hong Kong and are designed so that they’re environmentally sustainable through installation of everything from a rain water collector and on-site recycling center to a nuclear reactor in the underground parking garage. The design itself proves ambitious with the building standing at 92-stories-high, rice paddies installed on the roof (growing one of China’s staple crops), and bridges connecting the towers for transportation around the massive structure. One tower will be devoted to housing while the other will serve as a convenient commerce area complete with retail shops, providing practically everything humans could need to survive and giving it that city-within-a-city vibe.
