Cara Delevingne may be getting a starring role in a huge Hollywood film.

The model is reportedly in talks to play a female lead in Zoolander 2 alongside Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson, who'll return to play Derek Zoolander and Hansel. If casted, this would be Delevingne's third movie role, her first playing Princess Sorokina in Anna Karenina, and another role in the British short film, Timeless

Writer and director of the film, Justin Theroux, confirmed the second iteration of Zoolander, telling Vulture earlier this month that "it looks like it actually might be starting to get up and running."

"Ben and producers want a big-name model for the film and they need to be jokers and full of natural comedy," a source told the Sun. "They are still working out what the exact role will be but it's likely to include a lot of goofing around." Sounds like Delevingne would perfect for the role.

This, of course, wouldn't be the first time a model stars or appears in a movie. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley replaced Megan Fox in 2011's Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Tyra Banks played Zoe in Coyote Ugly, and more recently, Kate Upton starred alongside Nicki Minaj and Cameron Diaz in this year's The Other Woman

Meetings with Delevingne's agent have reportedly already taken place, though Delevingne isn't a shoe-in just yet. Stiller still wants to meet the model to see if there's chemistry. Additionally, sources say British model Suki Waterhouse, who's appeared in Burberry ads and will star in Love, Rosie, was also approached for the role.

According to sources, Stiller is also looking for other famous models to make a few cameos, which is no surprise given the first film featured guest appearances from a few big names in the fashion industry, including Tommy Hilfiger, Heidi Klum, Claudia Schiffer, and Donatella Versace

Stay tuned to see if Delevingne lands the role.
