One of the most publicized events in media this year had to be the "Kimye" Vogue cover. The event was so polarizing, that while some felt the cover had finally had cemented a place in the fashion world for Kanye and Kim, others absolutely mocked the whole affair, laughed it off, or canceled their subscriptions. While the outside world was weighing in on the #WorldsMostTalkedAboutCouple, the only look we had behind the scenes at Vogue was editor-in-chief Anna Wintour's opening letter. If you were ever curious about Anna's feelings on the run-up to the Kimye cover, actor/musician Ryan Raftery has the inside (but highly fictionalized) look in his newest one-man show, "Ryan Raftery is the Most Powerful Woman in Fashion".

Rafferty is a solo performer through and through, performing one show a year on his own since 2009. His work remained generally autobiographical, rewriting popular hits to score his personal stories, but he claims he recently ran out of material and was stuck by inspiration when the infamous Vogue editor "grimaced in his direction."

"She's Darth Vader and Hillary Clinton in one little package," said Rafferty.

The one-man show follows Anna's tribulations in the run-up to cover's release, including (but not limited to): fear of being fired, complaints about the world becoming too casual, and stress-induced constipation. The soundtrack is that of a jukebox musical, including a rewrite of the classic "Let It Be" to "Let Her Die," a song that muses on Kim Kardashian's grip on popular culture.

While the show is a fictionalized account of Wintour's feelings, Rafferty insists the work is more an ode than a parody. The show runs on two dates, with the first on August 11, and the second on a fashion-week-ready September 5 date.
