If you're a geek an art lover like us, you've probably dreamed of spending the night in a museum, checking out the exhibits after dark to see if the animals actually do come to life like in the movies. The American Museum of Natural History recently announced that they will be extending their A Night at the Museum kids sleepover program to those of us who don't need chaperones or permission slips.
The AMNH Sleepover for Grown-Ups is sold as a "more sophisticated version" of the kids event, with a champagne reception, music by the 12th Night Jazz trio, a special presentation in "The Power of Poison" exhibition space, and a midnight viewing of the Dark Universe Space Show narrated by Neil Degrasse Tyson.
Unfortunately, the August 1 sleepover is already sold out, but there will be more opportunities in the near future. Head to the AMNH website for more info.
