Kansas City has put itself on the map with the completion of the world’s tallest waterslide. Located in the Schlitterbahn Water Park, the Verrückt (which means “insane” in German) is 168 feet high. For perspective, that’s almost eight feet taller than the Statue of Liberty. This ride requires adrenaline junkies to climb 264 stairs to reach the summit. Once this feat is accomplished, two or three riders climb into inflatable tubes and begin their thrilling journey back to solid ground at speeds that can reach up to 65 miles-per-hour.
