Public School is on a menswear win streak. Designers Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne have been getting rave reviews and racking up awards left and right. The latest W is the U.S. regional Woolmark Award for Menswear, a prize that recognizes rising fashion labels that Chow and Maxwell won after being judged on sketches of a six-piece merino-wool capsule collection. Other finalists included Ovadia & Sons, Todd Snyder, Timo Weiland, and A.A. Antonio Azzuolo. As part of the win, Public School will have a chance to showcase its collection at Saks Fifth Ave.

This is Public School’s third award in less than a year. The first came with the 2013 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Crown, followed by a big CFDA Menswear Designer of the Year last month. The two have come far from their days working as designers for Sean John, and are clearly leaving a definitive stamp on a new wave of menswear with their aesthetic.
