Just because school is out, it doesn't mean you have to stop learning about art. That's why the Internet exists (well, one of the reasons). Cecilia Azcarate's Tumblr blog "EMOJIS B4-16" is the latest in the Art History Tumblr trend, a blog that introduces you to older art in a cool way.

The focus of this particular blog is art made before the 16th century, and Azcarate pairs the paintings and drawings with emoji characters that look as if they were made to be shown together. She says that she hopes to find a painting for every emoji, and we definitely think she will reach that goal sooner or later. Check out a few of our favorites above, and head to Tumblr to follow Azcarate's progress.
