Now that everyone has Photoshop and access to various programs online, making a GIF from photos or a video clip is really not a big deal, but when is the last time you saw someone draw the frames of a GIF by hand?

ArtFCity recently posted the work of Ontario-based artist Chantal Rousseau, and it is pretty awesome. Rousseau combines lots of themes and pop culture references to create funny and interesting paintings, drawings, and animations. The bio on her website says that by "playing off fleeting internet obsessions and subcultures, she intertwines humour and the macabre and makes feminism sexy." We included a few of our favorite animated GIFs below, including one of a "Sexy Ghost Kate Upton" doing the Cat Daddy and another of Lindsay Lohan with a raven on head.
