New York-based photographer and director Tim Saccenti was tapped by adidas to shoot 60 of the world's top soccer players including Oscar dos Santos Emboaba Júnior, Lionel Messi, Dani Alves, and Mesut Ozil.

The 2014 World Cup campaign was centered around the adidas "Battle Pack" collection, so Saccenti used projection mapping to apply the geometric patterns from the shoes onto the players for a cool abstract portrait effect. The images were used in various forms of advertising, including bus wraps and a novelty photo booth in Harrods London that allows soccer fans to take similar photos. Of his work, Will Robinson  of Stem Agency said that Saccenti is "ultimately an artist behind the lens. There is nothing he cannot achieve on camera. He creates alchemy.”
