Laurie Simmons (famed photographer and Lena Dunham's mother) designed the poster for this year's New York Film Festival, which kicks off on September 26 at the Film Society of Lincoln Center.

Simmons' poster features a woman's legs with sparkling heels and the a set of stairs where her body should be, similar to the work in her "Walking and Lying Objects" series from 1987-1991 that Jay Z and Beyonce were fans of. The photographer joins an impressive list of past NYFF poster artists, including Saul Bass, Roy Lichtenstein, Frank Stella, David Hockney, Sol Lewitt, Martin Scorsese, Milton Glaser, Julian Schnabel, John Baldessari, and Cindy Sherman.

The posters will be sold at several locations during the festival. For more information, head to the Film Society of Lincoln Center announcement page here.
