OKOK spent a week in the city, creating art inspired by the experience.

OKOK is currently in New York City visiting local delis and flea markets, taking the L train, and enjoying some tunes on the radio, but he isn't exactly on vacation. As it is in the graffiti culture that he documents with the Tags and Throws project, OKOK is letting the city inspire the art that he makes, from sketches made on subway platforms to photos taken on the street. The work created over the span of the week will be shown in a pop up art show titled "NY State of Mind" at Ginny's Supper Club in Harlem on June 11.

OKOK writes on his site that he is "trying to expand the Universe one sketch at a time. Working on instinct to create something that never existed before." Check out the exclusive photos above of the artist at work and check out artbyokok.com for more information.
