Lee roach is a minimalist in the true sense, but a part of being the a new voice in that genre is taking that base and evolving the overall concept, a feat he continues to do each season. Mixing the right fabrics and incorporating the right colors is a process Roach executes effortlessly, resulting in a season that leans on strong combinations of khaki lightweight linen, navy double faced linen (comprised of lienen and virgin will, and Japanese olive cotton.

Roach has taken familiar silhouettes and is beginning to make them his true signature. A few short seasons down the line, these will regarded as classics. Several people in the audience of Roach's show mentioned that this season's garments reminded them of Helmut Lang, which is one of the strongest compliments a designer could ever hope to hear. Each piece that went down the runway was as clean as could be, and was definitely a step forward in the ongoing progression of minimalism.
