This Short Video Epically Combines Elementary School Level Drawings With Rave Music

British filmmaker Rhys Coren's short film "If We Can Dance Together" has been selected to appear in "E-Vapor-8," a rave-inspired art show.

British filmmaker Rhys Coren has put together a mesmerizing video called If We Can Dance Together. The piece, like many of his films, is created using very few elements, such as limited color palettes and simple progressions, but is still an effective medium. This particular work has been selected to appear in the rave-inspired art show “E-Vapor-8,” curated by Dazed art editor Francesca Gavin. The elementary school-like simplicity of the individual frames is juxtaposed against a complex method of linking those images together. When played with upbeat techno music in the background, this light-hearted piece takes on a fun-loving character.
