To follow the "Art Truancy: 20 Years of Juxtapoz Magazine" exhibition currently showing at both locations, Jonathan LeVine Gallery has announced a solo exhibition by Bronx-based graffiti artist CRASH.

The exhibition is titled "Broken English" and opens on June 26 at 557C W 23rd St. According to the gallery, CRASH (John Matos) is recognized as "one of the first subway writers to begin painting on canvas and exhibiting in galleries," though this will be his first solo effort at Jonathan LeVine. The show will feature his freehand works on paper and large canvases that blend pop culture influences with abstract elements, as well as a fully restored, painted, and detailed 1975 Mini Cooper.

CRASH's show will run through July 26, and he will also be painting a mural for the The L.I.S.A Project NYC and dropping a new print, so keep your eyes open for those as well.
