After getting an initial glimpse of the new adidas by Rick Owens Tech Runners earlier this year, sneaker heads from all walks of life have been brimming with anticipation for a full look at the collection’s design. And today, the wait is over.
Coming in four minimalistic colorways, the shoe design features a modern silhouette of an angular sole unit and and a neoprene fit upper constructed from premium suede and leather. And, of course, what kind of Rick Owens shoe would be complete without the classic serrated rubber outsole the American designer is known for. Additional details include three perforated stripes along the midfoot as well as the adidas Style Globe logo and Rick Owen’s signature on the heel. Said to take inspiration from the stealth bomber aircraft, the Tech Runner is the perfect combination of Rick Owen’s avant-garde aesthetic and adidas’ innovative technology.
The $790 adidas x Rick Owens Tech Runners will hit retailers mid-July.
